How to manage in-app and email notifications in your GiraffePad account.

1: Notifications in my GiraffePad account:

The notifications function in your GiraffePad account keeps you updated with your learner's activity. These will be indicated by the blue badge on the notifications tab on your top menu. Click on the notifications tab to view a drop-down menu. This will list all your notifications from all your programmes.

You will also be notified of any unread messages in either group chats or private chats. The yellow badges will indicate any new and unread messages:

 

2: What am I notified of?

The following learner activity generates a notification:

  • When a learner first registers with GiraffePad after your invite.
  • When a learner adds or updates their personal objectives.
  • When a learner adds or updates their action points.
  • When a learner uploads a resource.
  • When a learner adds or updates their feedback.
  • When a learner completes a questionnaire.
  • Unread messages (Yellow badge)

3: Blue badge notifications:

Each of the notifications are clickable and this will take you directly to that learner activity in the relevant programme. When you have read the notification, you can either delete it by clicking the X next to the relevant notification or alternatively you click on "dismiss all" which will delete all your notifications. This will ensure you don't receive emails for notifications you have already seen.

4: Notification emails:

You will receive an email indicating you have new notifications or unread messages. These emails are generated each morning and sent once a day. If you have no new notifications and no unread messages, you will not receive an email. 

In your messages tab on the side menu, if you read all your messages and there are no yellow badges, the email notification will not be generated.

5: Unsubscribing from notification emails:

If you prefer not to receive notification emails you can disable them. Log in to your account, select your profile (top right of the screen) and on that page you'll notice you have a toggle to disable the notification emails. You can change this setting at any time.
